Physical Health and Severe Mental Illness (SMI)
In Spring 2019, NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (NHS DDCCG) secured funding from Health Education England (HEE) to enable us to undertake a project focussing on the physical health of people with a severe mental illness (SMI).
Following on from our interim report and phase one of our project, we continued to gather survey feedback from people in Derbyshire. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in fewer responses to our survey than expected, our project worker was able to carry out nine in-depth telephone interviews with patients currently attending clinics.
