High Peak Engagement Group
The group meets once every 5/6 weeks on a Thursday in Buxton from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.

About the Group
This group was originally set up in partnership with Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust to bring together service receivers, carers and professionals in the High Peak. We have been facilitating the meetings since 2018 and it continues to be a thriving group. We regularly invite guest speakers to share knowledge of local services.
We also use the group as a way to hear the perspectives of people who use different mental health services. People who attend the group have also been involved with attending the High Peak Place Alliance to ask questions and make observations about local mental health provision.
“The overwhelming feeling that I have about being involved with the High Peak Engagement Group is one of being valued as both a carer/expert and as a volunteer. Being able to meet with other experts, with differing experiences, together with the great variety of professionals, from many sectors, has provided me with a wealth of information and knowledge. It has helped me to better understand the mental health services and what they and the other organisations are able to offer and the challenges they face.
